macOS first launch

  1. Open the .dmg and drag Summer Penguin into Applications.
  2. macOS blocks the first launch (the test build is not notarized). Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway.
  3. Allow Microphone and Accessibility when asked. If the Keychain asks, choose Always Allow.
  4. Shortcut: hold the ⌥ right Option key (right of the space bar) while you speak, release to paste.

Windows first launch

  1. Run the installer. SmartScreen will warn: click More info, then Run anyway.
  2. Allow the microphone when asked.
  3. Shortcut: press Ctrl + ⊞ Win once to start, again to stop.

Then

  1. The setup takes five short screens; the Thai speech model downloads by itself (about 540 MB, once).
  2. Try it in Notes, LINE, Slack or email. Tell us anything that looks wrong and how the speed felt.
